In assessing your application for credit, to prevent fraud, to check your identity and to prevent money laundering, we or our partner brokers and lenders may (i) search the files of credit reference agencies CallCredit, Equifax and/or Experian (or any other credit reference agency that we may use from time to time) who will record any credit searches on your file though these may take the form of a “soft search” which is designed not to impact your credit rating at enquiry stage. We require such third party’s to use the personal information we transfer to them only for the purpose for which it was transferred and not to retain it for longer than is required for fulfilling the said purpose.
